October 15, 1820
Connecticut River at Windsor rose 10 feet in 4 hours, and high waters closed all bridges over the Onion (now Winooski) River in north.

October 15, 1954
Hurricane Hazel moving north over Pennsylvania caused only structural and tree damage; Burlington maximum wind 70 mi/h from the southeast.
