THE VERMONT WEATHER BOOK by David Ludlum (Vermont Historical Society, 1996) lists the following Historic Weather Events for June 7:

June 7, 1816
Snow covered ground all day at Montpelier; on high elevations near Danville snow and sleet drifted to 20" depth; ice at Chester.

June 7, 1984
Band of heavy thunderstorms passed over north-central section: St. Albans 4.45 inches and South Newbury 3.10 inches late on 6th. Severe local flooding in Washington County early on 7th; mudslide at Calais closed Rt. 14.
