June 4, 1919
Heat wave: 101° at St. Johnsbury, 100° at Cavendish; from 2nd to 6th, St. Johnsbury: 90°, 100°, 101°, 101°, 98°, on successive days.

June 4, 1960
Triangular area bounded by Ludlow, Ascutney, and Chester received 3" in three hours; small streams rose to heights not witnessed since 1927; main street of Ludlow flooded.
