April 29, 1854
Heavy rains set stage for great flood; St. Johnsbury 2.60” on 26th-30th with 91° on 30th; Hanover, N.H., 3.47" on 28th-1st of May; Connecticut River reached the highest of record to that date in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
