THE VERMONT WEATHER BOOK by David Ludlum (Vermont Historical Society, 1996) lists the following Historic Weather Events for April 15:

April 15, 1895
Heavy rains of 50 hours duration caused greatest flood since 1869 on Winooski and Connecticut rivers; Brattleboro had worst inundation since 1862; log booms broke, bridges damaged.

April 15, 1972
Heavy wet snow caused damage in triangle from Brattleboro and Bellows Falls over the mountains to Bennington, “the worst utility damage since 1938”; Peru 6.5", Readsboro and Vernon 3" snowfall.
