March 14, 1850
A thunderstorm at Newbury with deep snow on the ground; several buildings were struck by lightning.

March 14, 1984
Very deep snowstorm in mid-March set all-time 24-hour record at Peru where 37" was measured on 14th; at Rochester, 30", at Cavendish, 24", at Rutland, 23"; at Chelsea, Manchester, and Union Village Dam, 22".
