THE VERMONT WEATHER BOOK by David Ludlum (Vermont Historical Society, 1996) lists the following Historic Weather Events for March 13:

March 13, 1936
Snow rollers observed at Burlington; the muff-like cylinders varied in size up to 13" in diameter; temperature was at 32° and wind at 27 mi/h.

March 13, 1962
Wet snowstorm of 5" to 18" over the state caused great tree damage and power outages. Shirkshire winds in Bennington Valley hit 81 mi/h in gusts; a brick building was demolished; a car was blown from the road near Rutland.
