Temperature surge from -39° on the 1st to a maximum of 47° on the second at Enosburg Falls; from -33° to 48° at Northfield.

February 2, 1962
Coldest in 30 years over the north: -41° at Enosburg Falls, -40° at Bloomfield, -25° at Burlington, -21° at Dorset; too cold for groundhog watching.

Glaze storm throughout state: 1.34" at Ludlow, 2.22" at Searsburg.
